Hi Mike, as you have closed you VM account there is no choice by to go Sat, cable connection could stay on after closure but can be turned off at any time.
Sat is loosing HD channels at present with no fix on the horizon, box, dish, sub and internet needed.
Cheapest Kryptview no sub, no dish, with HD channels if buying 850 HD box, VM feed needed.

not touch skyboxes as there are too many issues with them, losing channels needing daily channel lists,no signal issues and boxes running hot/fire issues as cheap built no safety built in and closed source.
lot of people going for a linux box like an octagon sf8 as better specs than a vu solo and box has iptv functions with plugins.
dont be stupid to buy a skybox with 12 month gift off ebay, others have and box went off after 3 months.

you need both a sat dish/sky dish ok but be aware hd channels are going off these boxes and soon no movies and sports in hd,you could add a motorized dish later if needed for more sats, all boxes need the sat scanned and lan connected for box to work ,best one a duo2=expensive
or to look at tv a 1 tuner box like i said above or want to record then a vu solo2 original and dont choose clones.
world of satellite to buy from and 5% discount for members.

any bb provider should be ok to run lan connection to,but if using vm coaxial is live a cable box will work but if cut off  will not then.
if going sat route you dont need vm but a bb provider to decrypt channels.

originals are probably the good ones and the clones or clone of clones having so many issues.
no signal issues.
need regular bouquets
reboot issues
bad hdmi connections
lan port issues
boxes run very hot fire hazard.

  • Digital audio output: S/PDIF by coaxial and optical;
  • S/PDIF Interface for digital bit stream out (AC-3)
  • false advertising as not as described.
